Description
Underground Hip Hop Legend Percee P (born John Percy Simon in 1971) is from the Patterson Projects in The Bronx, NYC. He has been emceeing since 1979, yet his debut album, 'Perseverance' produced entirely by MADLIB, was released by Stones Throw Records in September 2007. He had previously released a few singles on several different labels, some of which are now expensive collector's items. After having made guest appearances on tracks with Big Daddy Kane, Kool Keith, Lord Finesse, Jurassic 5, Jedi Mind Tricks just to name a few, 'Perseverance' had become the longest-awaited rap album of its time.
Since his debut on wax in 1988, heads had been salivating at the prospect of a full length album and when it finally arrived 'Perserverance' was rapturously received by fans and critics alike. Now, Stones Throw proudly presents a limited-edition selection of all new Madlib remixes along with the brand new 'Real Talk' which is only available on this CD.
