MAD by DETTO MARIANO FEATURING ANGELLA DEAN

Features an excerpt from the film "Qua La Mano", 'MAD', more than thirty years after its original release.The soundtrack of the film was entirely written and arranged by the music maestro Detto Mariano, a famous composer and arranger since the sixties, who worked with some of the best known names in Italian music, like Adriano Celentano, Lucio Battisti, Mina... just to name a few. "Qua La Mano" was released in 1980, a period in which the disco sound, after the recent success of the film "Saturday Night Fever", was very popular among the masses, as heard in the song we chose for this special edition vinyl: "MAD"."MAD" is one of the the main songs of the movie, and is now finally available on vinyl in a limited edition '12-inch single" format. The track is taken from the scene in which there is "the dancing priest" - played by Adriano Celentano - where Celentano and Lilli Carati perform in a dance competition. In this special limited edition vinyl release, you will also find the instrumental version, 'Gocce D'Acqua'.Amongst all of the songs from the film, we chose "MAD", because, despite its' strong disco influences and 'Made in the USA' feel, it is a song with a rich and strong Italian flavour from the early eighties.
