Description

A timeless masterpiece in the history of Japanese ambient/minimal music,  reissued as an LP+12inch including previously unreleased material!!

Comes with an Obi strip
Newly remastered by Kuniyuki Takahashi
Includes previously unreleased material

Sound Process Design, a company founded by Satoshi Ashikawa, a pioneer of environmental music in Japan, distributed this work in 1984. The full picture of this work, which has been shrouded in mystery to
this day, will finally be revealed.

The lone entry in the Sound Process Série Réflexion, this suite of gaussian-blur Glass/Reich-isms is perhaps the most remote point in the vast bubble-era kankyō ongaku constellation.
While the Wave Notation series articulated minimalism more in terms of spatial organization and emotional refinement, Kenichiro Isoda and Hiroshi Hirohashi instead approach it in the more canonical sense, evaporating New York rigidity into a gaseous state suitable to “drift like smoke” within the environmental space Satoshi Ashikawa had envisioned. Imagine not the grid of the city, but the clouds between. – Spencer Doran (Visible Cloaks)
