Amsterdam's primo alto sax man is back...The label say: Benjamin Herman wants to stay of the cd-market from now on: "I have released so much in the last years that I want to take a step back in releasing new material. I want to edit the recordings I made with Carlo de Wijs (Hammond organ), Jesse van Ruller (guitar) en Cyrill Directie (drums) and release several singles in stead of a full album. I made Blue Sky Blond through singles and I liked it. Holding a 7” single or spending 2 euro’s on iTunes are even cheaper than a glass of Coke. The music on this last EP is lightly Burlesque and Tarantiono like; Carlo is making the sauces with his hammond, Jesse is picking on his guitar, Cyril is rocking and I walk screaming around. This quartet is working beter and beter.
