TRANE/MEMORY by MARCO BERNARDI

Marco Bernardi is a Glasgow-based producer and long-time friend of Emoticon. A well-known face on the Glasgow scene, and a talented producer across many styles of music, Marco is also the engineer behind leading Soma techno artist Percy X, both for live shows and in the studio. The tracks on this release, however, show his mellow side, with warm strings, evolving melodies and subtle rhythms at the forefront. Neither track is aimed at the dancefloor, but both cuts display the kind of warm musicality and attention to detail that rewards careful home listening. Marco recently contributed a blistering solo track to the Electron Music EP on top local techno label Iridite, and has solo releases coming up on leading techno/electro labels such as Firewire and Soma. When he find the time, hes also perfecting his carlos adolfo dominguez project, an outlet for his tongue-in-cheek electro-pop sensibilities, and whose theatrical live shows have been causing a stir in Glasgow.
