INDIO by INDIO

Jon Beltran comes up with his fifth album, this time as Indio. Again containg lots of magical typical Beltran tracks, with subtile ruyhtms and deep soft strings as in I need you.. and Kino Flow. Where his last album also contained some more drum 'n bass-like tracks, again boundaries are explored, with varied success. Lite Yellow for example gots distorted rhythms, reminding to older Autechre things, and also very smooth jazzy stuff as in Armenian Eyes. All together it somekind of misses the magic of his first albums, but it easily beats lots of other albums. Warm and fine balanced thing.(FF)
